Restaurants
Each restaurant has a chef who decides on the menu, selection of ingredients, recipes, wine selection and manner of presentation of food and drinks. The beauty is in the diversity of the eight restaurants and diners in the centre of Preko. The secret lies in quality meat, fresh wild-caught fish (and crabs or shellfish), island vegetables, home-grown potatoes and olive oil. But to discover original Preko recipes containing molluscs and vegetables, you’ll have to come to the restaurant a few more times.
Bars
Start your morning with a strong espresso, smoothie or freshly picked mint tea, and freshen up in the evening with a caipirinha or a margarita.

Čoko Roko and Plavi Jadran are pastry shops with the widest selection of delicious cakes and other sweet things, while ice cream can be found in a number of locations.

Grocery stores
The Konzum in the centre and at the dock (10 minutes’ walk) have the largest selection of consumer goods and are open in the summer from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Two Sonika stores in the centre are open in the winter from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day, and Julia shop at the dock is open all day and is tailored to the arrival of the ferry. The Bure shop is open only in the summer, all day.
Fish markets
The island of Ugljan has a strong tradition in fisheries, from small-scale fishing to industrial fishing. The Cromaris shop is at the dock, while you can find surprises on the market.
The market
Bananas, pineapples and avocados do not grow on the island, but you will quickly start recognizing the potatoes, lemon, asparagus, artichokes, tomatoes, garlic, arugula and salad herbs mix, olive oil, vinegar, chard and onions grown on the island of Ugljan at the Preko market.
Butchery
The “Luka” butchery’s summer working hours are 6.30 a.m.-12.30 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Fresh meat is brought from Ravni Kotari, Slavonija and Turopolje. Order by phone at: 091 797 1936
Fruit stand
Along with a shop, Nada also owns a fruit stand at the market. Its summer working hours are 7 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.-8 p.m. All the produce is home-grown and seasonal, for example asparagus, artichoke, chard, figs… and most importantly, lemons.
Street market
Working hours 5 a.m. -6 p.m. The first morning activity in the summer happens at the market. Whether the produce is from the island or not, we will let you conclude on your own.
Bakery
Hot bakery products can be found every morning in Mlinar, Čoko Roko and in Konzum.
Fuel station
The summer working hours of Preko fuel station are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The draft is up to three meters, and the boat capacity is up to six boats.
Filling up gas tanks
You can request for the boat’s propane-butane tank to be filled up at the marina. The gas filling station is located in Lamjana, 5 km from Preko. The contact number is: 091 333 11 91

Medical support
There is an outpatient clinic and two pharmacies in Preko. The emergency service is located in Kali but operates all over the island and includes an emergency vessel for taking patients to the Zadar hospital when necessary. Very frequently, Marina Preko transports injured guests to the Zadar hospital to save time. The solidarity principle is a very important factor on the island, so the guest can count on the best possible treatment in such kinds of situations.
Veterinary support
Marina Preko is a “PET FRIENDLY” marina. It’s hard to describe the joy these animals feel when they see each other again one year later at the marina. This is why we have organized pet care in cooperation with Zadar’s veterinary practices.
